  • Received RI half year dues and paid
Community (Ros)
  • 4/5 February – Carousel, need help late Sunday 5th.
  • 21 February - Sponsors dinner at Bartley.  Invitation to be sent to major sponsors at the club expense, two from each company.
  • Heart Kids donation cheque for $1 000 to be presented at Sponsors dinner.
  • Kids on the Lake Committee reviewed feedback and will be issued to members within a week or two
  • 10 December tentative date for Kids on the Lake 2023.
International  (Ken - apology)
  • Donate funds to flood affected river residents. Ken suggested contacting the Rotary Clubs so see if anything has been affected ie playgrounds etc. – maybe supply services such at volunteering or other services to help the Rotary Clubs.
  • Approximately 33 years ago had an exchange student Muriel from Belgium. She is coming back to Australia for a visit and staying with Alan Raggatt in Brisbane and Brian White in Adelaide.
Youth (Robin - apology)
  • No report.
Fundraising (Gary)
  • 6 February – Bunnings BBQ and a few spots still need to be filled
Vocation & Environment (Alison)
  • “Don’t Throw in the Towel” – may need to rebrand and Alison to check with Beenliegh in regard to towels and sheets from high end hotels and blankets and sort them and choose to give to homeless; vet surgery for animal cages, cut up into rags or charity sewing shop to make nursing pads for 3rd world countries, backpackers hostels.

Guest Speaker: Owen Crees
Owen spoke about Angel Flight, where people living in remote areas that don’t qualify for Flying Doctor assistance can be flown to medical facilities.  The service is provided free by private pilots flying their own aircraft.  Angel Flight is staffed by volunteers and receive no support from government.
