ROTARY CLUB BUSINESS
Secretary (Lyn)
  • Christmas Dinner is $50 to members and Henley Beach Surf Life Saving Club is preparing menu and will be forwarded as soon as it’s received.
Treasurer (Len)
  • Members to pay $50 per head and Club will cover the top up per head plus Kris Kringle to be donated to District Governors wife for her project and Heart Kids Charity
  • Subs due 1 January 2023
Community (Ros)
  • Meals on Wheels roster is done for next year.
  • Kids at the Lake meeting was held 21 November and Ros went through members responsibilities on the day 4 December from 1.00pm – 9.00pm
  • Beyond Bank to advise how many volunteers they will have
  • Two bikes were donated from Beattie Transport and Adelaide Kerbing
  • Santa (Gary) to draw the raffle
  • 9 December BBQ for volunteers at Carousel from 6.00pm
International  (Ken – apology)
  • Group Friendship Exchange Express of Interest proposed for 2023/24. Need to register via email by 20 December 2022..
Youth (Robin)
  • Two schools to be awarded our annual “Dianne Parcell “Award and Yvonne to present one award and looking for someone else to present the other award.
Fundraising (Gary)
  • Gary attended activities day at Wesley House as the Bunnings Activity person was not available.
  • Neil and Brenda will organise sausages for Kids on the Lake and Neil’s son in law will bring to the park by 3pm 27 cases of mixed drinks from Drakes and the Club to purchase a further 10.
  • Gary will organise bread and Ice and be at the park by 2pm.
  • Anyone with eskys please bring along
Vocation & Environment (Alison)
  • Alison contacted Monarto Zoo regarding helping with fence painting in the New Year.
Guest Speaker and Other Activities (Neil)
  • 29 November – AGM announcement of officers for next year
  • 6 December – West Lakes School BBQ 
  • 9 December – carousel volunteers BBQ
  • 10 January 2023 – first meeting back
  • 17 January – Police Commissioner Grant Stevens

  • Nomination forms [for RCWL Office bearers for 2023/24] given out.

Guest Speaker: Dr Nigel Bonello, Audika Hearing.
Dr Bonello gave an interesting and very informative talk on how and why hearing loss occurs.
