  • Financial statement for December $10474.00 up for the month and $8467 up for the year
  • If leaving the club advise the executive 2-3 weeks prior to leaving.
Community (Ros)
  • Thank you for volunteers at Carousel over Christmas/New Year. Suggest 4 people needed
  • Kids on the Lake was a good event, thank you to Stuart driving the engine etc.
  • Kids on the Lake review committee, Wednesday 11 January at 5.30pm at Bartley
  • Meals on Wheels roster is out
  • NRM Bills 30th birthday deferred to April
International  (Ken )
  • Nothing new to report.  Can give donation at any time.
Youth (Robin)
  • Nothing new to report.
Fundraising (Gary)
  • Bunnings BBQ fundraiser – allocated 
 6 February, 6 March, 10 April (Easter Monday) trying to change to 3 April
  • Requested one Saturday or Sunday per quarter.  Ted to come back with further dates
Vocation & Environment (Alison)
  • RDU – encourage people to fil their own water bottles. $35.00 metal water bottle or purchase plastic bottles with Rotary Club logo
  • “Don’t Throw in the Towel” – contact Alsco in regards to towels and sheets from high end hotels and sort them and choose to give to homeless; vet surgery for animal cages, cut up into rags or charity sewing shop to make nursing pads for 3rd world countries
  • Fence painting – Monarto Zoo

Gourmet Gary's Gluten free Scones

Gluten free Scones
 
Yield: 10 
Prep Time: 45 minutes 
Cook Time: 12- 15 minutes 
Total Time: 1 hour 
 

Ingredients:

3  cups

Gluten free selfraising flour

250 mls

Sugar free lemonade

250 mls

Thickened cream

½ tsp

Baking powder

 

Extra flour if needed

 

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 200c and line baking tray with a silicone sheet or flour. 
 2. Mix flour, cream, lemonade and baking powder till mix comes together then turn out on to floured bench top. 
 3. Dust with a little of the extra flour then lightly knead the dough for a couple of minutes. 
 4. Roll out to about 20mm thick then cut into shape with a pastry cutter and arrange on oven tray about 20 mm apart. 
 5. Brush top with a little milk and cook for about 12 minutes until golden on top or test with a skewer
6. Place in a bowl and cover with a tea towel until serving with jam and whipped cream
******* YOU CAN ALSO ADD A GOOD HANDFULL OF FRESH RASPBERRIES BEFORE KNEADING TO ADD A LITTLE EXTRA FLAVOUR.

EoI Group Friendship Exchange - USA/Canada
District 9510 - Expressions of interest
 
Group Friendship Exchange (GFE) – Proposal - Mid 2023 or 2024 – North West USA/ South West Canada
 
 
Our District (9510) has received an enquiry from District 5080 (North West USA and Southern West Canada) regarding a possible Group Fellowship Exchange to USA/Can in Mid next year 2023 or in 2024.
 
A Rotary group from USA visited South Australia in 2019 (Hosted by RC Adelaide and RC Regency Park) have now offered a return trip to US/Can next year or 2024.
 
Expressions of Interest are being sought by 20 December 2022 from any Rotary member in District 9510 who may be interested in a GFE to US/Canada in mid 2023 or 2024.
