Guest Speaker
Guest Speaker Stephanie Malan, a Midwife by profession, gave an interesting talk about the work of The Village Co. The Village Co. works to show mothers they are not alone, looking to ease the burdens they face such as domestic violence, homelessness, mental health issues, and drug dependence among other travails they face. They support new mothers by providing a bag containing all hygiene products for mother and baby, new knickers, baby clothes and wraps, laundry powder, Milk kit and, a Nourished Week Voucher (a week’s worth of chef-made meals by Chefs on Wheels. The Village Co. is well worth supporting.
