Please find below a link to share with your club for the survey, and/or you can print the QR code and members can fill it out on their phone at your next meeting and/or print the attachment for members to complete.
I recommend you email the link to all members of your clubs so that anyone who isn't at your next meeting also get the opportunity to respond.
As part of Creating Tomorrow Rotary and the Regionalisation Project (visit www.creatingtomorrowrotary.org) and on behalf of the Presidents from Community Group 4 we are seeking your ideas to be considered as a group project.
Ideally, the objectives of the project will: 1. Make a difference to our Group 4 communities. 2. Promote Rotary across our community. 3. Support clubs to engage members. 4. Build a stronger and unified Rotary brand. 5. Encourage partnership, and 6. Attract new members and volunteers.
There have been some ideas suggested such as each club donating a support dog to a local school in their area, a giant car boot sale, a health and wellbeing fair, muster of BBQ trailers. Before we agree on a project, we want to be sure that every club member has had the opportunity to submit their idea.
Think about Rotary's Seven Areas of Focus and a project that will deliver on the six objectives above. Visit www.rotary.org/en/our-causes for more information.
The Group 4 Community Group will consider all suggestions on Friday 15 November so be sure to make your submission by then.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact me.
Let me know if you have any questions. I will bring the survey results along on Friday 15th Nov

Don't miss to this opportunity to mix, mingle and be inspired by Rotary Past President and Current Foundation Chair - Mark Maloney.
"If Rotary is a beautiful car that you are proud to drive, The Rotary Foundation is the engine that propels it to your chosen destination.
And it’s the strengths of Rotary — especially you and our other incredible 1.4 million members — that make The Rotary Foundation powerful.
Like many new members, I knew little about The Rotary Foundation when I joined Rotary. However, everything changed in 1985 when, as incoming president of my club, I attended my first Rotary International Convention with my wife, Gay, in Kansas City, Missouri.
We will never forget the thunderous support the audience showed for Dr. Albert Sabin, creator of the oral polio vaccine, who called upon Rotary to vaccinate the world’s children.
It marked the dawn of PolioPlus, a pivotal moment in Rotary’s commitment to children worldwide, and I was there!"
On Tuesday 29 October we were fortunate to have City of Charles Sturt Mayor, Angela Evans speak to our meeting.
She outlined a number of projects/activities which may interest RCWL (see below).
When asked about the key issues facing the City of Charles Sturt, her response was:
in-fill housing, the need for green spaces and the impact of increased population density on parking and traffic in general
addressing biodiversity, the need for trees to reduce heat signatures in the suburbs
costs
Community Garden Groups – need for wicking beds, bee hotels, gabion seating
Art/Stobie pole painting groups – need for paint, mosaic and art supplies
N.B. Council and SAPN approval for the paining of stobie poles is required.
Other small community groups – need for signage, notice boards, lighting, stages, stands, trolleys, tables and chairs
For residents on the receiving end of voluntary assistance, it is often a lifeline and provides the much-needed connection to support and care. This lifeline and connection lessen the sense of isolation, and provides practical advice, support, and help.
the City of Charles Sturt are always looking for volunteers with opportunities /roles including:
bus driving and transport assistance
helping at special events, open days and displays
assisting at libraries and community centre activities, programs and administration
youth services programs
graffiti removal
animal management
