Australia's preplanning for crisis of a pandemic was poor. Coming out of the pandemic, Australia was about 12 mths behind other key nations.
recently travel issues caused by
- lack of new security lines
- lack of security staff
- poor recruitment and training across the travel (mainly flight) sector
International capacity is down, causing high prices in peak times
More people are flying Business and Premium than in the past
Bucket List destinations are key sellers, don't wait too long though, as to date the numbers of tourists at destinations is lowish, providing better value for those prepared to travel.
despite some poor press, Cruise companies kept going through Covid and kept many travel agents "afloat"
